The Foundation of Noah’s Ark Animal Welfare Association
Noah’s Ark Animal Welfare Association, located in Trinidad, Colorado, serves as a sanctuary for various companion animals. With a commitment towards animal welfare, this organization strives to provide the best possible environment, fostering love and care for pets in need. Their shelter is situated at 1921 E. Main St., Trinidad, CO 81082, which has become a beacon of hope for abandoned and abused animals.
Caring for Animals in Need
As the most prominent animal shelter in Colorado’s largest square-mile county, Noah’s Ark takes pride in its extensive efforts to find loving homes for cats and dogs alike. The shelter operates with a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who not only provide care for the animals but also work tirelessly to educate the public about responsible pet ownership. Their mission is clear: to ensure that every animal that enters their doors finds a safe and nurturing environment.
One of the standout features of Noah’s Ark is their veterinary care program. The shelter offers regular health checks and vaccinations for all incoming animals, ensuring that they are healthy before being placed up for adoption. This not only improves the animals’ chances for adoption but also reassures potential adopters of the pet’s well-being. By partnering with local veterinarians and animal health professionals, Noah’s Ark reinforces its commitment to the health and happiness of each furry resident.
Adoption Process and Success Stories
Adoption procedures at Noah’s Ark are designed to ensure a good match between pets and their future families. Interested adopters can browse profiles of adoptable cats and dogs, gaining insight into each animal’s unique personality. For instance, bear in mind the success story of Bear, a German Shepherd mix who was rescued after showing signs of abuse. His new family, thrilled with their newfound companion, praised the staff for allowing them to bring their cats to see how Bear would interact with them.
This careful consideration during the adoption process is crucial. Noah’s Ark staff conduct home visits and follow-up calls post-adoption to ensure that pets and their families are adjusting well together. Such measures have led to numerous success stories, including that of Luna, a shy but loving terrier mix who went on to become an integral part of a family with young children, who cherish her as their playmate.
